About Unison 2010

History

Unison 2010 marks the fourth festival of choruses consisting of gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender, two spirited and straight (but happy) singers from across Canada. The festivals occur every four years alternating with the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses (GALA) in the USA - similar to the the way the Winter and Summer Olympics occur.

At the previous festivals in Edmonton, Toronto and Vancouver, homosexuals and straights alike descended upon the respective cities and sang their hearts out for each other. If you have never attended either a Canadian GLBT Chorus festival or GALA, then you can't imagine the absolute euphoria that is created by the singing, the listening, the dancing and the camaraderie that abundantly flows throughout the weekend. You CAN feel the love!

Please follow the links in the column on the right side of this page to the history of each of the festivals.
